Want to give a surprise party to a friend who is turning 30? The best idea, personally I feel, is to make the theme of the party to be 70's when the celebrant was born. Ask the guest to dress up in bell bottom pants like that of 70's, play the chart-busters of that time, make a board with pictures showing the celebrant's growing and newspaper from the day he or she was born. Or else the theme can be the number 30. Right from the cake to the party plates , make sure that the figure 30 is all around. Even decorate the room with 30th birthday special swirls and balloons.
While making arrangement for the parties, the preferences of the celebrant should be kept in mind. If the person likes beaches, then a beach-party can be thrown or one can spent really extravagantly then a party on a cruise will be worth remembering.

Are you checking out the online stores and shops in your neighborhood for buying gift for someone who is turning thirty ? Still you can't figure out what to do. Well, such a case happened with me when I decided to buy a 30th birthday gift for my friend's wife.
A lot depends on the preference of the celebrant. I looked at the gizmos to the jeweleries , even thought of giving her a ladies handbags . Ultimately I zeroed in at a crystal clock .

Birthday means getting a year older; birthday means celebrations; birthday means fun with your friends and family. But often as people get old, they tend not to throw any party as getting aged is quiet a depressing idea for them. But throwing a surprise party for the senior member of your family can really cheer them up and make them feel that they are cared.
For milestone birthday like 60th , 65th, 75th the retro theme can be a good party idea – it would bring back the memories of the young days of the celebrant. It would be nice if a gramophone can be brought instead of the CD player in accordance with the mood of the party. There can be different types of games like “Trivial Pursuit” as they say old age is a return to childhood. When it comes to food , importance should be given to light finger foods keeping in mind the health condition of the celebrant as well as most of the guests.

On Uncle George's 65th birthday, his grandchildren bought a unique gift for him - a Custom Birthday mini newspaper! I knew, of late, my nephews and nieces were debating about their grandpa's birthday gift as one preferred to give grandpa special T-shirts while the other one was thinking of giving him a Drink Selector Mug

When there is a birthday party on Halloween then the food should made keeping in mind both the events. So while the celebrant cuts a spooky Birthday cake, the main course can include items like Bat Wing Soup , Creepy Crunchy Donut eyeballs , along with cookie pizza and pumpkin pie as the desert. As I was writing about Birthday on Halloween I was just curious to know the big names whose birthday fall on 31st October. There are number of celebrities like Brazilian footballer Dunga, Thai music sensation Christina Aguilar, Canadian actor Justin Chatwin, newscaster Jane Pauley who are going to celebrate their birthdays this Halloween.
Here is a poem written by one of the greatest poet of English Literature, John Keats whose birthday incidentally was also on the Halloween Day.

To My Brothers
John Keats
Small, busy flames play through the fresh-laid coals,
And their faint cracklings o'er our silence creep
Like whispers of the household gods that keep
A gentle empire o'er fraternal souls.
And while for rhymes I search around the poles,
Your eyes are fixed, as in poetic sleep,
Upon the lore so voluble and deep,
That aye at fall of night our care condoles.
This is your birthday, Tom, and I rejoice
That thus it passes smoothly, quietly:
Many such eves of gently whispering noise
May we together pass, and calmly try
What are this world's true joys, -ere the great Voice
From its fair face shall bid our spirits fly.

Our neighbor Matthew's son William is going to turn thirteen tomorrow. I met Matthew in the shopping mall looking at the PlayStations to gift his son. William is entering the golden period of his life ! There is nothing like the teenage days when you can have all the fun, yet with so less responsibilities. I miss my teenage days so much:(

Birthday Party on Halloween is really going to be a double treat for anyone
who attends it. You can give a fright of a life to the birthday boy or girl by throwing a surprise spooky party. At the same time make the celebrant feel special by this nice gesture.
The best place to throw a birthday party on Halloween are the haunted houses. If you can't get hold of a haunted house then give your own home or apartment a haunted look. Decorate your home with spider webs instead of balloons, let the ghosts welcome the guests, listen to the screams of the witches, watch the dance of the skeletons, play the games of the dead. You can arrange this spooky birthday party easily at your home . Right from the plastic webspiders available in the market to the ghosts made by pillows at home, everything can be done quiet easily to make your friends and folks remember the scary evening for their life :)
