Sean Penn's birthday is today! He's one of my favorite actors -- I mean, only he can do and say the things that he does. I don't think there's a more versatile and dynamic actor than him.

Here's a classic footage of Sean Penn from Fast Times at Ridgemont High

Come to think of it, Sean Penn is still hard headed as ever. But that's why we admire him.

His birthday is shared by two up and coming brilliant actors whom I'm really looking forward to follow their careers and seeing their movies often. One of them is Rachel Hurd-Wood. You might remember her from that spine chilling film, American Haunting. She acted as Betsy Bell. The other actor Colin Bates -- also an acclaimed actor -- played in Billy Elliot the Musical as Billy on West End. He already enjoys the title of being the first American to play Billy on the West End. He was also in The Good Shepard but his scene landed up in the cutting room floor. You can see it on the DVD though. Rachel and Colin are both turning 17 today.
